MICHAEL V. CORY
Michael V. Cory, Jr., is a partner with Danks, Miller, & Cory. His practice primarily focuses on business law, employment law, local government law, and criminal defense. He also has extensive experience representing clients in administrative enforcement actions brought by various state and federal agencies.
Michael is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Defense Research Institute, The Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Subcontractors Alliance of Mississippi.
Michael was born in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1989 with a B.A. in Political Science. He graduated cum laude in 1994 from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Mississippi Law Journal, serving as Special Projects Editor, 1993-1994.
He co-authored two law journal articles “Mississippi Uninsured Motorist Law – Where Do We Go From Here,” 68 Miss. L.J. 455 (1999) and “The Circumvention of Mississippi’s Prohibition against Direct Actions“, 66 Miss. L.J. 493 (1997), and written numerous other papers for presentation. From 1990-1997, he served as a Captain, EN, in the United States Army Reserve.
